Darlington Steve Foundation Introduces a Radio Presenting & Business in Radio Programme.
It is designed to give you a thorough background in the essentials of radio presenting, news reading and radio as a business. Students will receive a certificate upon completion of training which is covered in the registration fee. Students are introduced to the techniques that professional voice-over artists continuously use, rely on and are well trained in.
Please note that the training programme is based on a first come first serve basis for the first 20 candidates after payment is made and confirmed.
Presenters act as the public face or voice on television and radio programmes; they are responsible for introducing and interviewing guests, linking segments, and generally holding the show together. Radio presenters entertain and inform programme audiences on national, regional and international stations and satellite channels. As a presenter, you can appear on various types of programmes including: news and current affairs, sport, music shows, chat shows, children’s entertainment, game shows, and specialist programmes such as travel, gardening, lifestyle, history and DIY. Your look, personality and presenting style are all important parts of this trade.
The Darlington Steve Foundation Radio Presenting Course is designed to introduce you to the fast-growing broadcast industry. Once qualified, you will be able to demonstrate specialized skills and techniques such as performing in front of various audiences and using your voice as an effective communication tool in a professional manner.
Course content and modules will be provided at the session. You will cover these modules during the duration of your training.

- Law and compliance in Radio business
- Branding & Marketing on Radio
- Radio Presenting, news reading and producing
- Formal equipment and elements in radio studio are investigated
- Radio production terminology
- Appropriate theoretical models to analyzing radio forms are investigated
- Quiz and light entertainment programmes on radio are investigated and evaluated
- Planning and creation of two programmes within the genres of quiz and light entertainment will be covered
This programme includes a compulsory Workplace Learning component. Workplace Learning provides important opportunities for professional and personal growth. It addresses specific competencies identified for the acquisition of the qualification, which relates to the development of skills that will make the learner employable and will assist in developing his/her personal skills. After completing the course you stand a chance of joining DEXTERITY RADIO, which is not compulsory for you and it is totally dependent on DSF discretion.
Classes are Fridays and Saturdays, 5 weekends Practical Radio training programme and will begin on the 1st of March, 2019 and end 31st of March, 2019. (Fridays 4:30pm – 7:00pm | Saturdays 11am – 4pm)
